CK Registration

Registration for 2009 will open in February of 2009. Below are sample registration forms from last year's classes.

  1. Download the Registration form (pdf) below. Select the correct session, using 2007-08 grade level. Select your morning and afternoon courses. Be sure to rank at least 4 choices, and place a "0" beside any courses that do not interest you.

    It is important to completely fill out the registration and enclose it with your payment (minimum $50 deposit, check or money order, payable to College for Kids) and mail to:

  2. If you are new to CK, have Certification form completed and signed by a school official. (Note: This is not necessary if you have attended CK in the past).

  3. Complete and sign the Health form. This form MUST BE received by MAY 15, 2008 for acceptance in program.

  4. We suggest that you APPLY EARLY (before April 15) for the best chance of getting your choice of classes and to save money (see "Fees" section). However, registrations are accepted until all spaces are filled. Limit 16 per class.
  5. Classes are filled in the order that applications (complete with certification and check) are received. Be aware that some classes may fill very quickly, but also that a class with low enrollment may have to be canceled.
  6. You will get confirmation in late May or early June, with a class schedule and other information to be ready for camp. Your canceled check is your receipt. If for some reason your application is NOT accepted, we will call you IMMEDIATELY.

Admission Requirements

NOTE: College for Kids makes reasonable accommodations for participants with special needs. Please respond in writing, if special accommodations are required.

Fees

Fees for Sessions I and II: $475.00*
(Session I Grades 3 - 4; Session II Grades 5 - 6)

Fees include basic class materials, recreational activities, T-shirt, evening activities, and room and board for five days. Additional lab fees may be charged for some classes requiring specific supplies.

Fees for Session III: $560.00*
Grades 7, 8 and 9

Fees include basic class materials, recreational activities, T-shirt, evening activities, and room and board for six days. Additional lab fees may be charged for some classes requiring specific supplies.

*After April 15, 2008, tuition will be $10.00 higher per session
(Sessions I and II - $485: Session III - $570)

*After May 15, 2008, tuition will be $20.00 higher per session
(Session I and II - $495: Session III - $580)

Included in the fee is a non-refundable** deposit of $50.00. The REFUND deadline is May 15, 2008. All fees and HEALTH FORMS are due by May 15.

Scholarships

A limited amount of financial assistance is available. Scholarships are awarded solely on the basis of eligibility and financial need. To request an application, please call 573-642-2935 or e-mail collegeforkids@hotmail.com with your name and mailing address. Applicants must be admitted to College for Kids, A Summer Exploration, Inc. before the application for financial assistance will be considered. Applications for financial assistance must be submitted by April 20th for consideration and decisions will be made by the end of April.

Each year, College for Kids honors current and former teachers with scholarships. Last year, scholarships were presented on behalf of Debbie Brunner, Helen Jarvis, Meg Brown, Ann Wilkerson and Sue Winter.

Certification Form
The Certification statement must be completed and signed by a school official to certify qualification for new students ONLY.
Health Form
Please complete the Health form, have the doctor's portion completed, and return the form to us. We MUST have this Health Form ON or BEFORE May 15, 2008. Please list all medications and directions on the health form. This form is required for all campers. Campers will not be allowed to register without a health form on file.
